WE TIED OUR GAME!

Let me preface by saying that in 16 games, we haven't won. And we've only come close to tying a game once. However, today, something clicked with my girls and we were winning 4-1 at half time! More goals in the first half than we had scored ever as a team in all games combined! Thrilling! And the team we played wasn't bad - in fact, last season they whomped on us like 10-0. Seriously. Second half not as stellar as the first half, but we ended up tying the game 4-4. Still, it was awesome, and I am so proud of them. I'll see if I can't post a photo (blogs are still foreign to me...). After the game, one of the families hosted a pizza party and we had a great time. All the girls got us little gifts and signed cards for us. It was great. The parents were so appreciative too. After today, I'm excited to see where we can go with this team!

Here is a team photo.

I got a tremendous amount of enjoyment from coaching my "little guys" team and I know that you do with your girls. I'm proud of you for taking on that responsibility and teaching such a great game. Way to go on the 4-4 tie. Obviously your efforts are going to pay off. Dad
